Carabinieri report multiple drunk driving incidents in Italy

Law enforcement agencies in Italy have conducted several operations targeting driving under the influence, resulting in multiple arrests and license revocations.

In Osimo, a 57-year-old man was reported to judicial authorities after losing control of his vehicle and driving off the road during the Ferragosto holidays. Breathalyzer tests revealed a blood alcohol content of 1.60 g/l, more than three times the legal limit. Authorities seized his driver's license and filed charges for drunk driving with aggravating factors including nighttime operation and causing an accident.

In the Cremona region, the Carabinieri reported three separate incidents of impaired driving. In Cremona, one driver was found to have a blood alcohol level of 1.86 g/l, nearly four times the legal limit, leading to the seizure of the vehicle and revocation of the license. In Casalbuttano e Uniti, a driver hit two parked vehicles and attempted to flee, but was apprehended in a local establishment; tests showed a level of 1.77 g/l. A third nighttime check in Cremona resulted in another license revocation for a driver with a level of 0.92 g/l.
