Carabinieri rescue 59-year-old man after suicide attempt in Rimini

Carabinieri officers from Morciano and Cattolica rescued a 59-year-old man in Rimini who attempted suicide by ingesting a large quantity of herbicide.

The man had contacted the Morciano station via telephone, stating he could no longer endure his situation due to severe family problems. While a carabiniere kept the man on the line to gather information, the operational center dispatched a patrol from Cattolica.

Officers located the man in an underground parking lot in a semi-conscious state and in serious condition. He was subsequently hospitalized and is reported to be out of danger.
