Carabinieri rescue newborn in Piana di Monte Verna

Carabinieri officers from the Ruviano station performed an emergency rescue in Piana di Monte Verna after encountering a distressed driver on via Laurelli. The driver reported that his newborn daughter had stopped breathing and appeared cyanotic while the family was attempting to reach the hospital.

After notifying the Operations Center, the officers used their patrol vehicle with emergency lights and sirens to transport the mother and infant to the Sant’Anna and San Sebastiano Hospital in Caserta. Following medical evaluation and treatment in the pediatric emergency department, the infant was discharged in good health later that evening.
