Carabinieri stop four Bulgarians after Loreto supermarket thefts

Carabinieri from the Filottrano station halted a vehicle on Via del Lavoro at 11:15 and discovered four men of Bulgarian origin, without fixed residence in Italy. Three of the suspects were already known to law‑enforcement. A search of the vehicle uncovered cleaning supplies and household items stolen only hours earlier from a supermarket in Loreto.

Further video‑surveillance analysis linked one of the detainees to the theft of a 67‑year‑old pensioner’s wallet, containing €40, in the same morning. All stolen goods were recovered and returned to their owners. The four men were charged with recettazione (receiving stolen goods) and furto con destrezza (theft with skill) and were released pending further proceedings.
