Carabobo authorities oversee reconstruction and new healthcare alliance
In Carabobo, Venezuela, regional authorities are advancing two distinct social and infrastructure initiatives. Governor Rafael Lacava and Mayor Juan Carlos Betancourt have been supervising the rehabilitation of the Maori residential complex in Puerto Cabello. The reconstruction efforts follow a double earthquake on June 24 that caused structural damage, leading to the evacuation of several buildings, including Tower 5, which had been assigned a yellow habitability rating.
Separately, the Carabobo government has formalized a strategic alliance with the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service of the Ciudad Hospitalaria Dr. Enrique Tejera (CHET). This partnership, facilitated through the Integral Care Center for Children with Disabilities (CAI), aims to provide specialized dental care for neurodivergent children and adolescents. The program is designed to accommodate patients with complex systemic conditions, such as cardiovascular issues, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases, who cannot receive treatment in standard dental offices.
