Rafael Lacava, the Governor of Carabobo, announced a project to automate medical records for patients within the public health system in the region. The initiative aims to create a comprehensive database that allows healthcare providers to immediately access a patient's medical history, including allergies, previous pathologies, treating physicians, and administered medications.
The announcement was made during the XXXVII Venezuelan Congress of Surgery and the XI International Dr. Mario Arcia Salazar Congress held in Valencia. The governor noted that this system is intended to improve efficiency and patient care across all state hospitals. The project is being developed in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
