Caracas bid for 2030 Central American and Caribbean Games enters evaluation stage

The Executive Committee of Centro Caribe Sports approved a formal roadmap to assess the Venezuelan Olympic Committee's proposal for Caracas to host the XXVI Central American and Caribbean Games in 2030. The plan gives the Venezuelan committee up to 90 days to submit a complete dossier, after which a Future Host Sites Commission may conduct an on‑site inspection within 30 days. Within another 30‑day window the committee will review the inspection report and may call an extraordinary assembly to decide the final venue.

The process is described as objective and transparent, but it does not guarantee that Caracas will be selected. The Venezuelan government has officially backed the bid, and the evaluation timeline was previously delayed because of recent earthquakes in the country.
