Caracas Centro de Arte Moderno hosts Venezuelan guitar recital

The Centro de Arte Moderno de Caracas (CCAM) will host a new edition of the Noches de Guataca cycle in its Experimental Room. The event focuses on the technical and compositional evolution of the guitar in Venezuela.

The musical program features performances by four prominent musicians from the new generation: Richard Bello, Luigi González, Diego Puerta, and Niko Narváez. The repertoire includes original compositions and tributes to influential national figures, such as maestro Antonio Lauro and composer Aquiles Báez. Specific pieces to be performed include ‘La casa azul’, ‘El frutero’, and an adaptation of ‘Díptico llanero’.

The ensemble consists of musicians aged between 19 and 38, with backgrounds ranging from conservatories to traditional groups, including affiliations with El Sistema and various national philharmonics.
