Caracas Palacio de Justicia removes Chávez and Bolívar portraits

Large-scale images of Hugo Chávez and Simón Bolívar have been removed from the facade of the Palacio de Justicia in Caracas. The judicial headquarters, located on Avenida Bolívar, previously featured these portraits for years.

In their place, the interim government led by Delcy Rodríguez has installed blue banners promoting the ‘Plan Venezuela Renace’ initiative, which was launched following a double earthquake on June 24. This visual shift is part of a broader trend where the current administration is replacing traditional Chavista symbols with new institutional branding.

Recent changes include a transition from the color red to blue tones in various public spaces and government programs. Other notable modifications include the removal of iconography from the Néstor Kirchner Room in the Miraflores Palace and the replacement of images of Hugo Chávez, Nicolás Maduro, and Cilia Flores in government initiatives with the branding of the current administration.
