Caracas Stock Exchange market cap tops $13 billion as index surges 146% in July

The main index of the Caracas Stock Exchange closed July at 5,134.46 points, reflecting a 146.58% cumulative rise over the past seven months. Market capitalisation reached 9,752,748,437,611.41 bolívares (about US$13.06 billion), up 81.82% year‑on‑year.

Variable‑income trading totaled 119,619,688,545.81 bolívares (≈US$170.68 million) with 16,716,023 shares exchanged in 38,059 transactions, a 12.7% increase in transaction count. The ten most‑traded securities were led by Banco Provincial, followed by Fábrica Nacional de Vidrio, PIVCA class B, the Bolsa de Valores de Caracas itself, Banco Nacional de Crédito and others. Fixed‑income operations amounted to 5,478,612,468.44 bolívares (≈US$7.75 million), a 134.23% rise from the previous month.
