Carado launches all‑wheel‑drive CV595 X‑Edition camper van in Germany

Carado, an entry‑level brand of the Erwin‑Hymer Group, uses its 20‑year anniversary to unveil the CV595 X‑Edition camper van for the 2027 model year. The vehicle, shown at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon (28 August–6 September), is built on a VW Crafter chassis and marks the brand’s first all‑wheel‑drive offering.

The base price starts at €88,600, rising to €95,000 with the optional off‑road package and can exceed €100,000 with additional comfort and autonomy extras. Power comes from a 2.0‑liter TDI engine delivering 120 kW (163 hp) paired with an 8‑speed automatic transmission. Inside, the six‑metre‑long van provides a 1.98 m interior height, a spacious bathroom, a large fridge drawer, and a robust fiberglass‑reinforced roof designed to resist stone chips and hail. The model targets families and traditional campers, complementing sister brand Sunlight’s sportier lineup.
