Instituto Cândida Vargas resumes support circles for mothers

The Casa Mãe Bebê at the Instituto Cândida Vargas (ICV) has resumed its weekly conversation circles for supported mothers in João Pessoa. Managed by the Municipal Health Secretariat, these sessions are scheduled to take place every Tuesday.

The program aims to provide a space for information, emotional support, and the exchange of experiences. Participants engage in therapeutic activities, such as canvas painting, led by the psychology team to help express emotions experienced while caring for children in medical supervision.

Coordinator Wênia Ramalho stated that the initiative serves as a tool for care and listening, helping mothers navigate the challenges and doubts of this period. The sessions also cover vital health information, including the importance of breastfeeding and bedside breastfeeding techniques.
