Caraguatatuba hosts training to combat child labor
The Permanent Education and Strategic Actions Sector of the Child Labor Eradication Program (AEPETI) conducted a training program from October 6 to 8 in Caraguatatuba. The initiative focused on the challenges of preventing and eradicating child labor and protecting working adolescents in contemporary Brazil.
Targeted at workers from the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS) and professionals within the child and adolescent protection network, the training aimed to improve the identification, prevention, and confrontation of child labor exploitation. Participants included members of the Tutelary Council, inclusive education professionals, and representatives from the Intersectoral Commission of the Child Labor Eradication Program (CIPETI).
The sessions, led by psychologist José Carlos Bimbatte Junior from the Association of Researchers and Trainers in the Field of Children and Adolescents (NECA), provided theoretical content and practical methodologies to strengthen the articulation between different public services and protection networks.
