Caraguatatuba introduces Uber Taxi service

Caraguatatuba has expanded its local transportation options with the launch of Uber Taxi. Since October 30, residents and tourists can request rides from registered taxi drivers directly through the Uber application.

The service provides upfront pricing, allowing passengers to evaluate costs before confirming a trip. This integration aims to provide more transport alternatives during peak hours and holidays, particularly for visitors. For local taxi drivers, the platform offers a new channel to reach customers and adapt to changing passenger behaviors, with some professionals already approved to operate on the app.
