Caraguatatuba launches hiring process for municipal school directors and coordinators

The municipality of Caraguatatuba (Brazil) published an edital on 29 April for a selection process to fill paid positions in its municipal school network. The process will appoint school directors, vice‑directors and pedagogical coordinator teachers.

Applications are open from 10 August to 31 August and must be submitted through the Instituto Nosso Rumo portal. Candidates must be effective teachers who meet the criteria set out in municipal law (Law 2.065/2013, Complementary Law 131/2024 and Decree 2.540/2026). After online registration, applicants upload supporting documents; no changes are allowed after the electronic protocol is generated.

The selection consists of an objective exam scheduled for 27 September, evaluation of titles, and consideration of service time in the desired role. The exam is eliminatory and classificatory, worth up to 40 points. Final ranking combines exam scores, management plan assessment, title points and verified service time. The process is overseen by a commission of the Secretaria Municipal de Educação, with assistance available via a FAQ channel or phone (11 3964‑4946).
