Caraguatatuba to host 2026 Paulista Open Water Swimming Championship

Caraguatatuba will host the 2026 Campeonato Paulista de Águas Abertas de Verão at Praia da Cocanha on September 27. Organized by the Federação Aquática Paulista in partnership with the local government, the event features various distances including 500 meters, 1 km, 2.5 km, 5 km, and a 4x300 meter mixed relay.

Following World Aquatics standards, the competition aims to promote open water swimming and stimulate regional tourism. Officials expect the event to benefit the local hospitality and service sectors by attracting athletes and visitors from various municipalities.
