Carajás Negócios fair drives economic growth in Parauapebas

The Carajás Negócios fair in Parauapebas has emerged as a significant driver for regional entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic growth. The three-day event brought together companies, public institutions, and various sectors to promote local development.

Organizers projected an economic impact of approximately R$ 100 million over the course of the fair, with the potential generation of 2,000 direct jobs. The event saw substantial attendance, with one report noting 55,000 total visitors and another reporting over 13,000 visitors on the second night alone. The number of exhibitors expanded to 200 during the event.

Local government participation included showcasing tourism potential through the Carajás Tourist Route and presenting sanitation and water supply projects by Saaep. The fair also featured diverse industries, ranging from Amazonian bio-jewelry to automotive sectors, highlighting the municipality's economic diversification beyond mining.
