Carambeí: Driver sought after hit-and-run collision

A Renault Sandero Stepway involved in a serious collision on Estrada do Areião in Carambeí was found abandoned in a field on Monday. The vehicle had previously collided head-on with a Honda CG motorcycle, causing serious injuries to the motorcyclist.

Following the crash, the driver fled the scene on foot without providing assistance. Authorities report the vehicle traveled approximately four kilometers from the site of the collision before being left in a cultivation area. The motorcyclist was treated by the Emergency Mobile Care Service (Samu) and transferred to the University Hospital in Ponta Grossa due to the severity of their injuries. Police are currently searching for the driver and conducting forensic investigations at the scene.
