Carambeí Road Paving Project Starts First Asphalt Layer

The first layer of asphalt was laid on the São João Road in Carambeí, Paraná, marking a new stage in a municipal infrastructure project. Mayor Elisangela Pedroso announced the work, thanking Governor Ratinho Júnior and state deputies for securing the funding. The initial phase, costing R$ 9.44 million, covers about 4.6 km of the rural corridor that links the Avenida dos Pioneiros to the Duas Pontes area.

The mayor confirmed that a second phase, estimated at R$ 22 million, has already been approved by the state government and will move to a licensing and bidding process soon. The asphalt paving, using hot‑mix bituminous concrete, is intended to improve transport for local farmers and facilitate the flow of agricultural products.

“Hoje estamos colocando a primeira camada asfáltica da pavimentação São João…”, Pedroso said, emphasizing the project’s role in bringing development to the interior of the municipality.
