Caransebeș installs 10 new electric vehicle charging stations

Caransebeș has implemented 10 new electric vehicle charging stations across six different locations in the city. The project, funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), cost a total of 1.4 million lei including installation.

The charging stations are located at the following sites: - Grădinilor Street parking (near the hospital area) - Moise Groza Street parking (near the Tourist Center/Dragalina Park area) - Luță Ioviță Street parking - Ardealului Street parking - Vasile Alecsandri Street parking (near Traian Doda High School) - Splai Sebeș parking

The charging rate is set at 1.70 lei/kWh (VAT included). Users can pay via the Ampevo application or by bank card. Local regulations specify that occupying a station with a non-electric or non-plug-in hybrid vehicle, or leaving a vehicle parked for more than 20 minutes after charging is complete, is a contravention punishable by fines ranging from 500 to 1,000 lei.
