Romania reports multiple accidents and safety incidents involving minors

Multiple accidents and safety incidents involving minors have been reported across various regions in Romania.

In Brăila, a 12-year-old boy's family has filed a criminal complaint after he was struck in the head by an unidentified object, suspected to be drone debris, while riding an electric scooter. The family is seeking to reclassify the case from negligent bodily harm to intentional harm, alleging the incident may have been deliberate.

Several road and transport accidents involving adolescents were also documented. In Satu Mare, a 16-year-old without a license crashed a car into an electric pole. In Constanța, a 17-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding with a parked utility vehicle. In Caransebeș, a 16-year-old was hospitalized with serious injuries after hitting a stone while riding an electric scooter.

Other incidents include a 14-year-old and her father being rescued from strong currents by a lifeguard in Eforie Nord despite red flags being displayed, and a 6-year-old in Suceava suffering burns after falling into a pot of hot bouillon.
