Carbajosa to distribute 2,000 drug-detection bracelets
The Carbajosa de la Sagrada City Council is implementing a new safety initiative for the upcoming San Roque festivities. The municipality will distribute 2,000 free bracelets equipped with chemical sensors designed to detect the presence of narcotics, such as GHB, in beverages.
To use the devices, users dip a finger in their drink and place a drop on the reactive area of the bracelet. Mayor Pedro Samuel Martín stated the goal is to ensure the festivities remain safe and fun, while Councilwoman Alba Hernández emphasized that the planning includes providing all available means to ensure residents and visitors can enjoy the events with peace of mind.
