Cardano (ADA) price climbs as recovery signals and hard fork looms
The cryptocurrency Cardano (ADA) has risen about 5 % in early July, trading near $0.188‑$0.20 and holding a key support level. Technical analysis shows the asset breaking out of a long‑standing downtrend, moving above its 200‑day exponential moving average, with a bullish MACD crossover and price testing the upper Bollinger band.
Developers are testing the new Leios testnet, which promises a 30‑ to 65‑fold boost in transaction throughput. The network plans a Van Rossem hard fork (protocol version 11) slated for a November 2026 main‑net upgrade, while a potential spot‑ADA ETF is being discussed for August. At the same time, large‑holder (whale) wallets have increased their stake to over 38 % of total supply, even as daily transaction counts have fallen to a 45‑day low.
Analysts note that while the price bounce reflects short‑term buying pressure, a sustained rally will depend on the successful rollout of Leios, the hard fork, and continued institutional interest via the ETF.
