Cardano approves 120M ADA liquidity boost amid price volatility

Cardano (ADA) is experiencing technical volatility, trading near the $0.18 level following a period of price retracement. While some analysts note a bearish trend and a loss of key support zones, others identify potential buying opportunities in oversold conditions.

On the fundamental side, Cardano’s decentralized representatives (DReps) have approved the PRIME proposal. This initiative allocates 120 million ADA, valued at approximately $71 million, to boost liquidity and improve trading conditions within the network’s decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. Despite this boost, the network has seen a decline in Total Value Locked (TVL) to roughly $18 million.

In separate developments, the Cardano wallet provider SecondFi announced it will cease operations. The company is preparing a migration tool, scheduled for release on August 13, to assist users in transferring ADA, native tokens, and NFTs to their own wallets.
