Cardano anchors 500,000 supply chain records via Blockforce

The Cardano Foundation and Brazilian technology firm Blockforce have integrated the Cardano blockchain into an enterprise supply chain platform to provide cryptographic verification for production records. The system utilizes a dual-ledger architecture where sensitive commercial data remains on a permissioned network, such as Hyperledger Fabric, while corresponding cryptographic proofs are anchored to the public Cardano blockchain for independent verification.

As of August 31, 2026, the platform has already anchored more than 500,000 supply chain records. The technology is currently being used by major Brazilian fashion companies, including Azzas 2154, to trace materials like leather. The integration aims to improve transparency in sectors such as fashion and agriculture, with potential applications including the tracking of agroecological cotton from farms through the garment manufacturing process.

According to the partners, joint engineering efforts have reduced the public anchoring costs per record by 92%. Current contracts cover 6.5 million certified records through 2030, with plans to expand the system across additional industries.
