Cardano ecosystem sees trading surge despite price drop, DexHunter reports

Cardano’s total value locked fell roughly 30 % in June, slipping from $129 million to $92 million as ADA’s price dropped 27 % over the same period. Despite the market weakness, DexHunter – a Cardano‑based DEX aggregator – highlighted a sharp rise in on‑chain trading volume, jumping from about 6 million ADA to 25 million ADA over four days before settling around 7.45 million ADA. The spike was driven by heavy activity in tokens such as NIGHT, STRIKE, SNEK and stablecoin USDCx, with some assets posting double‑digit daily gains.

The surge occurs amid broader ecosystem setbacks: the TapTools analytics platform shut down, a major contributor declared bankruptcy, CEO Charles Hoskinson reduced public engagement, and a cancelled Singapore summit followed a rejected treasury vote. Nevertheless, larger market participants remain active, evidenced by CME Group’s launch of 24/7 ADA futures, continued whale accumulation, and upcoming developments like the Leios testnet scheduled for June 23. Parallel interest in the BlockDAG (BDAG) token emphasizes structured entry and buy‑back mechanisms, underscoring ongoing crypto market activity despite Cardano’s short‑term price pressures.
