Cardano price slumps to six‑year low amid $20 million hack and rising network activity

Cardano (ADA) fell to about $0.14, its lowest level in six years, after a recent exploit that stole roughly $20 million from the SecondFi protocol. Despite the hack, the platform’s DeFi total value locked rose by 17 million ADA and CME futures volume reached its highest since May, indicating continued market interest.

Technical analysis shows a “death cross” on the daily chart and a breach of the $0.19‑$0.20 support zone, pushing the price into a demand area around $0.14‑$0.16. Traders note that a rebound above $0.15 could signal a short‑term recovery, while failure to hold may see further declines toward $0.10.

At the same time, on‑chain activity surged, with daily active users up more than 1900% over six months, suggesting growing ecosystem participation. The Cardano Foundation also launched a multi‑year partnership with Brazil’s SENAI São Paulo to provide blockchain education and industrial traceability training.
