Cardano price tests $0.16 support as ecosystem faces governance and community challenges

Cardano (ADA) is hovering around the $0.15‑$0.16 technical support zone after a steep decline from its 2021 peak. Analysts note that a rebound above $0.20 would signal the first real sign of recovery, while a break below $0.15 could push the price toward deeper supports at $0.12 and $0.08‑$0.10. On‑chain data also shows a sharp spike in activity of long‑idle ADA wallets, indicating potential redistribution pressure.

At the same time, the Cardano network is grappling with broader ecosystem turbulence. The total value locked in Cardano DeFi protocols has fallen sharply, and recent governance votes rejected key funding proposals, highlighting tensions in the community‑run treasury model. Rumors have circulated about founder Charles Hoskinson’s token sales and a possible departure, though he clarified he is merely taking a break from social media. Hoskinson has also suggested moving community discussions away from the X platform to more reliable channels, underscoring ongoing communication challenges within the project.
