Cardano pushes AI payment standards, scaling and governance upgrades
The Cardano Foundation has joined the x402 Foundation, a Linux Foundation initiative that includes Google, AWS, Stripe, Visa and Circle, to develop an open standard that will let AI agents conduct digital payments autonomously. Cardano’s eUTXO architecture and upcoming scaling solutions are positioned to support this future market.
Development of the Leios scaling project continues on its public testnet, with new prototypes released, bugs fixed and tools added to monitor endorser‑block voting, moving the system closer to mainnet deployment. Following the recent Van Rossem hard‑fork, Cardano’s new governance model is now being applied in practice.
In parallel, the ADA token has risen about 9 % on the day and 14 % over the week, trading above its EMA‑20 and entering an overbought zone with an RSI near 84, reflecting renewed market optimism around the platform’s technical progress.
