Cardano's ADA price hits five‑year lows as developers ship record code, while Pepeto nears Binance listing
The cryptocurrency Cardano (ADA) fell to roughly $0.17 in June 2026, its lowest level since 2020 and about 87 % below the December 2024 peak of $1.32. The market value slipped to just €5.25 billion, threatening the token’s place among the top‑20 crypto assets, and daily trading volume collapsed to around $500 million. Analysts note a bearish chart pattern and an oversold RSI, with whale wallets now holding 67 % of supply.
Despite the price slump, Cardano developers recorded a historic week of activity, logging nearly 900 code commits – one of the highest outputs in the network’s history. The Leios protocol contributed 705 000 lines of code, and a testnet launch is slated for June 23, alongside a planned 60× throughput upgrade.
At the same time, the new token Pepeto is drawing capital ahead of its upcoming Binance listing. The presale has already attracted over $10 million, offering a cross‑chain bridge, a risk‑scoring tool for contracts, and staking rewards of 170 % APY. Analysts expect significant returns once Pepeto lists, positioning it as a focal point for investors shifting out of large‑cap cryptocurrencies amid the market downturn.
