Cardcaptor Sakura celebrates legacy with anime sequel announcement

The manga series ‘Cardcaptor Sakura’ by CLAMP, which originally ran in Nakayoshi magazine from 1996 to 2000, continues to hold significant cultural impact. The story follows Sakura Kinomoto as she recovers the magical ‘Clow Cards’ to prevent calamity.

Following the 20th anniversary in 2016, a new chapter titled ‘Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc’ was released. As the anime adaptation celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2023, production for a sequel to the Clear Card Arc has been confirmed.
