Cardi B avoids home gym installation due to child safety concerns

Rapper Cardi B has revealed that she decided against installing exercise equipment in her home due to concerns for her children's safety. Although she has a dedicated room prepared with mirrors and specialized flooring, she stated she is “too paranoid” to bring heavy machinery or free weights into her residence while her children are young.

Her decision was influenced by the tragic 2009 death of Exodus Tyson, the four-year-old daughter of former heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson. Exodus was critically injured and later died after her neck became caught in a treadmill cord at her family's home.

Medical research indicates that home workout spaces pose significant risks to children, with pediatric emergency rooms treating thousands of cases annually for injuries involving treadmills, stationary bicycles, and heavy weights. To mitigate these risks, Cardi B has opted to use commercial fitness centers instead of maintaining a home gym.
