Cardi B criticizes New York City bullying following student murder

Musician Cardi B has publicly criticized the culture of bullying in New York City following the murder of 15-year-old Bronx student Javits Frimpong. During a livestream, the artist expressed concerns regarding xenophobia and the harsh environment facing students, stating that such conditions can drive youth toward gangs for protection.

Frimpong, who had recently relocated from Ghana to live with his father, was shot and killed this week. The victim's father has alleged that bullies were responsible for the killing, noting that the student had been recently suspended for targeting him.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the identities of the suspects remain unconfirmed. Law enforcement officials are currently attempting to locate three teenagers who fled the scene of the crime. In a separate tribute, rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie held a moment of silence for Frimpong during a recent concert.
