Cardi B debuts on NPR’s Tiny Desk with live band performance

Cardi B made her debut on NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series in Washington, D.C., delivering an intimate performance backed by a live band led by music director Adam Blackstone. The set featured eight songs, blending tracks from her 2018 debut, ‘Invasion of Privacy’, with music from her 2025 sophomore album, ‘Am I the Drama?’.

Notable moments included a reimagined version of ‘ErrTime’, where the rapper replaced a reference to Latto with a shout-out to Kelly Rowland and her sister, Hennessy Carolina. The performance also showcased her vocal range through more vulnerable tracks like ‘Man of Your Word’ and ‘Be Careful’, before transitioning into high-energy hits such as ‘Up’, ‘Bodak Yellow’, and ‘I Like It’.

The event drew one of the largest crowds in the series' history, with many fans unable to gain entry to the NPR offices. The performance has since become a social media sensation, praised for its blend of humor, showmanship, and stripped-down musicality.
