Cardiff announces 2026 Christmas festive attractions

Cardiff Council has announced its schedule of festive attractions for the 2026 Christmas season. The holiday celebrations are set to begin with the switching on of Christmas lights on November 12, 2026, and will continue through January 3, 2027.

Key attractions include the Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland Ice Rink and Ice Walk located at the grounds of Cardiff Castle. The event will feature a new curling experience for groups. Additionally, a Winter Wonderland will be hosted on the City Hall Lawn, featuring a new accessible Big Wheel with an updated lighting system, family entertainment, and the Sur La Piste apres-ski bar. The Bute Park Light Trail is also scheduled as part of the seasonal programming.
