Cardiff City appeal fails over Gabriel Osho red card

Cardiff City manager Brian Barry-Murphy has confirmed that the club’s appeal against Gabriel Osho’s red card was unsuccessful. The Nigerian international centre-back was sent off in the 83rd minute of a 2-2 Championship draw against Middlesbrough following a challenge on Will Lankshear.

As a result of the failed appeal, Osho will serve a three-match suspension. He is expected to miss upcoming fixtures against Birmingham City, Wolves, and West Ham. The club maintained they had sufficient grounds to overturn the decision, but the ruling stands.

Barry-Murphy also expressed frustration regarding other officiating decisions during the match, specifically an incident involving Jack Moylan. While the match assessor suggested Moylan clipped his own heels, the manager disputed this, stating the player was pulled by a defender.
