Cardinal Health expands home care with $360 million acquisitions of AdaptHealth Diabetes unit and Strive Medical
Cardinal Health announced it has signed definitive agreements to acquire AdaptHealth’s Diabetes Health business for $235 million in cash and the medical‑supply firm Strive Medical in a separate transaction, together worth roughly $360 million. The deals are intended to grow the company’s at‑Home Solutions platform, building on its earlier purchase of Advanced Diabetes Supply.
AdaptHealth’s Diabetes Health unit provides continuous glucose monitors, insulin pumps and related services to more than 225,000 patients, while Strive Medical serves about 20,000 people with urology, wound‑care, ostomy and incontinence supplies. Cardinal Health expects the acquisitions to add to its adjusted earnings per share within the first 12 months after closing. “These strategic transactions build on the synergies created by our recent investments in home care,” said CEO Jason Hollar.
The acquisitions broaden Cardinal Health’s reach in diabetes management and urology care, reinforcing its strategy to deliver high‑quality, technology‑enabled home health services across the United States.
