Cardinal Matteo Zuppi conducts pastoral visits in Italy

Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, President of the Italian Episcopal Conference, is conducting a series of pastoral visits and community engagements across Italy.

In Bisceglie, the Cardinal attended the 50th anniversary of the Epass association at the Basilica of San Giuseppe. During the event, Zuppi emphasized the importance of volunteerism, stating that it involves “thinking together, not accepting inequalities,” and recognizing the inherent value of every individual regardless of their productivity.

In the Emilia-Romagna region, Zuppi is undertaking a pastoral visit to the Anzola and Zola Predosa areas. His itinerary includes meetings with local parishes, clergy, religious workers, and Caritas operators. The visit also focuses on dialogue with diverse community groups, including youth, families, the elderly, and workers, concluding with a final Mass at PalaVenturi.
