Leonel Fernández leads Fuerza del Pueblo expansion and religious outreach

Leonel Fernández, president of the Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) party, conducted a series of political and community activities in New Jersey, United States. In Haledon, Fernández led the swearing-in ceremony for 392 new members of the FP, aiming to strengthen the party's presence within the Dominican diaspora.

In Elizabeth, Fernández participated in a religious service at the Torre Fuerte Christian Church. During the event, he emphasized the essential role of churches in addressing modern societal challenges, including crime and insecurity. He argued that social progress must go beyond material improvements—such as health, education, and housing—and must be accompanied by spiritual strength and faith. He stated, “It is necessary to turn our faces toward God” to achieve peace and progress in the Dominican Republic.

Additionally, party leaders in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic, organized a large-scale integration event for hundreds of new members, including former members of the PRM and PLD parties, as part of preparations for the 2028 elections.
