Cardiology Academy hosts 9th annual conference in Alexandroupoli

The Cardiology Academy of the Democritus University of Thrace is hosting its 9th annual educational Panhellenic Cardiology Conference in Alexandroupoli from September 24 to September 28. The event, themed ‘Updating Knowledge in Cardiovascular Medicine 2026’, aims to bridge the gap between new research data and clinical practice by discussing advanced technologies, innovative drugs, and the integration of artificial intelligence in cardiology.

In conjunction with World Heart Day on September 29, the Hellenic Cardiological Society, in collaboration with the European Society of Cardiology, is participating in the ‘EUSCREENING WEEK – KNOW YOUR NUMBERS’ initiative. This pan-European campaign focuses on raising public awareness regarding the prevention and early diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases, which remain a leading cause of death globally. The Panhellenic Association of Cardiovascular Patients is also actively participating in these awareness efforts to encourage proactive health management among the general population.
