CardVault store in Palo Alto burglarized one week after opening

Burglars broke into the CardVault store in Palo Alto, California, just one week after its grand opening. The break-in occurred around 12:30 a.m. on a Saturday at the Town & Country Village location.

According to Palo Alto police, suspects smashed windows and display cases to steal approximately 60 trading cards valued at more than $12,000. As of this week, no arrests have been made and the suspects remain at large.

Tom Brady, who acquired a 50% stake in CardVault in 2025, attended the store's opening on August 15, where he signed autographs and participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This incident follows a similar burglary at the company's SoHo location in New York, where nearly $10,000 in cards were stolen shortly after its opening.
