Care homes celebrate community achievements and gardening success
Ash Lea House, a residential care home in Alfreton, has won the annual ‘Salutem in Bloom’ gardening competition. The initiative, organized by Salutem Care and Education, encourages staff and residents to transform outdoor spaces through teamwork and planting to create relaxing environments.
In Pudsey, residents of the Hutton Manor care home held a ‘Superhero Day’ to support the Alzheimer’s Society. During the event, residents selected local community members and staff to receive awards for their dedication. Recognized individuals included volunteers from the Royal British Legion, local councillors, and care staff.
