Care Plus accelerates digital transformation via Google Cloud
Care Plus, a leader in the premium health segment in Brazil, has accelerated its digital transformation by migrating its infrastructure to Google Cloud. This move is part of a global strategy by its parent company, Bupa, to transition operations to a fully cloud-based infrastructure.
The initiative has allowed the group to reach its cloud migration goals more than a year ahead of the original 2027 deadline. By utilizing agile methodologies, process automation, and artificial intelligence, the company reported efficiency gains of up to 90% in rewriting legacy systems.
Two internal projects, Simba and Mercúrio, were central to this transition. Simba focused on testing AI efficiency in a secure environment to transform applications and train developers, while Mercúrio established productivity goals and encouraged team engagement with AI. Technology Director Cibele Cardin noted that the transformation allows the team to redirect human expertise from operational tasks toward meaningful transformation.
