Careggi and Asl Toscana centro launch emergency medical collaboration

A new experimental synergy has been activated within the emergency-urgency territorial system in Tuscany, involving a collaboration between Azienda Usl Toscana centro and the Azienda ospedaliero-universitaria di Careggi.

For the first time, doctors from the Careggi hospital emergency department will provide services within the territorial network. This initiative includes medicalized ambulance shifts and a rotation system involving approximately fifteen emergency room doctors to improve coverage.

The collaboration follows a signed agreement between the two entities to establish shared diagnostic-therapeutic-assistive pathways and joint training programs for healthcare workers. This partnership strengthens the connection between the Careggi DEA and the Department of Emergency and Critical Care of Asl Toscana centro.
