Caregiver arrested in Louisiana for giving bleach to disabled patient

Reginald Andre Wilson, a 30-year-old caregiver, has been arrested in Lake Charles, Louisiana, after security footage captured him giving bleach to a patient to drink. The victim, who has physical and mental disabilities and relies on a wheelchair, is entirely dependent on daily care.

The incident was discovered by the victim's family, who provided the surveillance recordings to police and shared the footage on social media. Joseph Huntsberry, the victim's brother, publicly denounced the act, highlighting the vulnerability of his sibling.

Wilson faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault. The company employing Wilson stated they are deeply saddened by the incident and took immediate action by terminating his employment and ensuring the patient was transported to an emergency room for medical evaluation.
