Caregiver support initiatives launched in Hasparren and Saint-Denis

In observance of National Caregivers Day, new initiatives have been launched to support individuals caring for elderly, ill, or disabled relatives.

In Hasparren, France, the CCAS has introduced the ‘Café Entr’Aidants,’ a monthly meeting designed to provide caregivers with a space for listening, exchange, and professional guidance. These sessions will occur on the first Tuesday of every month to address specific needs and reduce social isolation.

In Saint-Denis, Réunion, the 17th edition of National Caregivers Day is scheduled for October 17, 2026, at the Jardin de l’État. Organized by GIP-SAP Réunion with departmental support, the event will feature over 60 stands to inform the public about available resources and services. The program includes wellness workshops, musical animations, and opportunities to meet local stakeholders to promote collective responsibility in caregiving.
