CARES cat shelter raises record $30,000 through annual walk

Supporters of the CARES no-kill cat shelter raised a record-breaking $30,000 during the annual Walk for the Cats. The event took place along the banks of the Fraser River in Milner.

As a volunteer-run rescue, CARES provides food, shelter, veterinary care, and rehabilitation for hundreds of cats annually. The organization maintains an adoption centre in Langley and commits to caring for animals for the remainder of their lives if adoptive homes cannot be found.
