CargoBeamer expands rail freight frequencies on three European corridors
CargoBeamer, a rail-based semitrailer transport provider, has increased service frequencies across three major European corridors to meet rising demand for combined transport.
The most significant expansion occurs on the route between Kaldenkirchen, Germany, and Domodossola, Italy. This connection has been upgraded to 22 weekly round trips, making it the company’s first high-frequency connection and one of the most frequently served relations in European combined transport.
In France, the company has doubled its capacity on the Calais to Perpignan line within six months, increasing service to eight weekly round trips. CargoBeamer aims to eventually reach up to two departures per day in each direction to better serve time-critical goods.
Additionally, capacity has been increased on the route between Kornwestheim (near Stuttgart), Germany, and Milan, Italy, which now operates five weekly round trips. This route, launched in April 2026, provides capacity for non-craneable units in response to strong customer demand from the Stuttgart region.
