Carianne Marshall to exit Warner Chappell Music leadership

Warner Music Group has announced that Carianne Marshall will step down from her roles as Co-Chair and Chief Operating Officer of Warner Chappell Music (WCM) at the end of this month. The move is part of an effort to streamline the company’s leadership structure.

Effective October 1, WCM CEO Guy Moot will become the sole chair of the music publishing division. Marshall is expected to remain with the company through the end of the calendar year to facilitate a seamless transition.

Since joining WCM in June 2018, Marshall has co-led the publisher alongside Moot since April 2019. Her tenure included the introduction of a Creative Services department and the modernization of digital licensing. Warner Music Group CEO Robert Kyncl credited Marshall with driving exceptional results and building a successful foundation for the company’s songwriters.
