Caribbean culinary festivals highlight regional gastronomy

Various culinary events are taking place in the Caribbean to promote regional gastronomy and tourism. In Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, the ninth edition of Restaurant Week is being held from September 21 to September 27. More than 20 restaurants and hotels, including establishments in Sosúa, are participating with special menus featuring local and international cuisine.

Separately, the Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort will host the 11th edition of ‘Culinary Week 2026’ from October 18 to October 25. The event will feature ten national and international chefs presenting diverse flavors, including Italian, Spanish, French, Mexican, and Caribbean cuisines. The program includes themed dinners, dessert tastings, and rum tastings.
